Red Deer Polytechnic's academic schedule provides the Polytechnic community with important dates to help everyone plan their schedules.
The academic schedule shares information such as:
- when classes start and end each semester
- when final exams take place
- when Reading Week is held
- various other dates associated with academic and operational activities.

| Jan 14, 2025 | Last day to register, add or drop Winter term courses Last day for tuition refund. |
| Feb 17, 2025 | Family Day - Polytechnic closed. |
| Feb 18 - 21, 2025 | Reading Break - no credit classes. |
| Feb 24, 2025 | Credit classes resume. |
| Feb 27, 2025 | Mid-term feedback for Winter term. |
| Mar 4, 2025 | Emergency Response Day |
| Mar 14, 2025 | Final Exam Schedule posted. |
| Apr 1, 2025 | First day to apply for Winter 2026. |
| Apr 10, 2025 | Last day of classes for Full year and Winter term courses. Last day to withdraw from Full year & Winter term courses and receive a WD. |
| Apr 15, 2025 | First day of Final Exams. |
| Apr 18, 2025 | Good Friday - Polytechnic closed. |
| Apr 21, 2025 | Last day of Final Exams. |
| Apr 23, 2025 | Deferred Exams written. |
| Apr 24, 2025 | Last day of the course waitlist for Spring term. |
| Apr 28, 2025 | Last day for submission of final grades for Winter term and Full year courses. |
| Apr 29, 2025 | Final grades for Winter term available. Last day to apply for Spring term. |
| Apr 30, 2025 | Tuition Fee Deposit Deadline for Fall 2025. |
| May 1, 2025 | First day of classes for Spring term. Tuition fees for Spring term due. Registration will be cancelled if tuition is not paid. |
| May 6, 2025 | Continuing Student Registration. Last Day to apply for Supplemental Exams for Winter term. |
| May 8, 2025 | Last day to register, add or drop Spring term courses. Last day for tuition refund. |
