Program Details:

Foundations of Management (6.5 hours)

In this course, you will examine management styles and understand the process for transitioning from colleague to supervisor. You will gain an understanding of your own unique management identity and begin the journey to creating your Foundations of Management Portfolio.

Effective Communication (6.5 hours)

Explore best practices for effective communication in your workplace. Determine what you need from others and what they need from you to ensure open, honest and productive communication. Develop your own management “voice” with an inter/intrapersonal action plan.

Managing Performance and Development (6.5 hours)

This course focuses on developing skills to give and receive feedback as a manager. It introduces the principles of coaching which help support the development of team members and in turn drive successful achievement of goals. These principles will connect to productive and respectful conflict resolution skills. The tools and techniques introduced in this course will have you ready to hit the ground running and implement them into your daily work as a manager

Synergy of Teams (6.5 hours)

One of the keys for success as a manager of people is to understand the dynamics of effective and collaborative teams. Explore the role of team members and the characteristics of successful teams while you develop an action plan for dealing with poorly/low non-functioning teams.
