ICS 100 and 200 Certification
October 12-14, 2022 | Red Deer Polytechnic Main Campus | Cost: $150 + GST
Are you interested in learning more about managing people and resources, particularly during emergencies? Then this is the certification for you!
Incident Command System (ICS) is a method of managing emergencies of any size using a structured approach that provides a set of steps that assist and guide individuals to help stabilize and control minor to major events. ICS can also be utilized for day to day operations, project management and public/private social events of any size. The participant will be trained to ICS 100 and 200 levels. Upon successful completion a student will receive ICS 100 and 200 certificates recognized by ICS Canada which is a national organization.
Training will be facilitated by Ken Kendall. Ken has over 25 years experience in municipal government holding senior management and CAO positions in communities varying in size from 1,400 to 11,000 citizens. Ken retired as Chief Administrative Officer from municipal government in 2010. Since that time he has provided consulting services to municipalities and private sector companies. Projects have ranged from municipal department reviews, contracted municipal infrastructure project management, regional emergency services and emergency management studies, emergency preparedness exercises, Incident Command System (ICS) training, emergency management plans and recreation facility studies.
