What is Career Expo?
Red Deer Polytechnic welcomes future students, current students and community members to our Education and Career Expo, an educational and immersive experience where they can connect with exhibitors, employers and teachers.
RDP’s Education and Career Expo will be tailored for different ages and audiences throughout the day. At each session, attendees will learn about RDP’s programs at the Spring Open House, and they can connect with exhibitors and employers from across central Alberta at RDP’s Career Expo 2023.
First Session | 9 am to 3 pm
Who is it for? Grade 8 to 11 students
Second Session | 5 to 8 pm
Who is it for? All students (secondary and post-secondary students), as well as community members looking to enter the workforce or those seeking a career change.
RDP’s programs and services will be holding sessions throughout the day.
Red Deer Polytechnic’s Education and Career Expo is presented with support from the Government of Alberta.
Students and Schools
Learn about your future career opportunities!
At Career Expo, students will have an opportunity to engage with more than 100 exhibitors and community partners. Increase your awareness about a wide variety of careers through hands-on and interactive exhibitor booths.
RDP’s industry-relevant programs will be represented at our Spring Open House, helping students plan their path from education to graduation to employment. Participate in guided tours and program presentations or connect with an Academic Advisor as you explore the options available to you.
Employers and Community Partners
Connect with your future employees.
At the Red Deer Polytechnic Education and Career Expo, employers and community partners can connect with more than 4,000 high school and post-secondary students, along with community members, who are looking to enter the workforce or are seeking a career change.
Employers and community partners will be invited to apply with their organization's information and ideas for an interactive and engaging display. Applications will be evaluated based on the quality of their engagement idea and time of application in comparison to other employers from their industry to ensure equal representation that meets student experience needs.
