A Snapshot of Red Deer Polytechnic

RDP has been offering diverse programs and opportunities for learners since it was founded – as Red Deer College – in 1964. In 2021, we announced a new phase in our evolution, when our institution officially became Red Deer Polytechnic.

Red Deer Polytechnic has a diverse program mix that includes apprenticeships, certificates, diplomas, graduate certificates, applied degrees and collaborative degrees, as well as our own RDP degrees.

Across this program mix, students benefit from work-integrated learning and research opportunities. Faculty members have the opportunity to focus on teaching and learning in our diverse subject areas, while also engaging in scholarly activity related to their area of expertise.
